Kong Flyer, the best flying toy, though the new model with the stiffened rim is not as good, it has thinner rubber so does not fly as far and tears easier

The Boomer Ball, indestructable ball for zoo animals.

NOTE: it is actually near-hard plastic not a sturdy inflatable plastic rubber which is a bit misleading though it is the toughest toy & only ball a staff can own for a time. Teeth marks will need to be sanded back every so often so you should buy the HD as a staffy will wear out the regular one eventually.

    Special section on toys

In New Zealand, decent dog toys are a rip-off(especially "Kong", "Nylabone" & "Planet Dog") & the skew/range is usually crap too compared with what is available from each supplier.

It is MUCH cheaper to buy from the US, South America, UK /Europe. If you buy more to make it worth your while and you will save in the long run. BUT to save you from going through the trial and error of buying complete shit that falls apart the first time you forget to take it off them for 5 minutes, read on.

    Some good toys are:
      • The Boomer Ball, indestructable soft ball for zoo animals and tough dogs
      • Sergeants Buddy Glow Ball (Tough latex, but take off after play time of course, I regard this as the best dog toy ever made and I'm not alone, there is a petition to stop this being discontinued click here)
      • Kong Flyer (difficult to tear, much more resilient than a normal frisby, and any rips repair quick & easy with super glue because the type of rubber, for this reason and its light, easy-carry fold away design, this is my 2nd choice toy ever made)
      • For all other kong toys try the Black "Extreme Kong Range" real tuff
      • The Kong Tug is a great toy BUT you can make it last muuch longer by letting him chew on the same side each time. Also, use superglue to repair and when you have done so many times, use 3M rubber tape to make a new layer above the perishing rubber. This was I made one last 2 years and counting (I even gave to a mate for his bitch and gave rumble a spanky new one)
      • There are some companies that make copy products "planet pet" make  akrate Extreme Kong bone copy
      • As with solid Nylabone Rugby dental balls  (they can be left to chew these but as with ANY toy, NOTHING is really indestructable or staffy proof)
      • Saturn Flyers are very good for running excercise and have a rubber rim to protect their mouth but for some reason some batches have harder plastic and shatter, for this reason never mail order these.
      • Indestructaball - Good, but like the Nylabone can bruize your dogs nose
      • I haven't tried Nylabone Frizbee & they have diferent types but could be good
      • For a Squeeky toy the Kong Football was a good one (coted like a tennis ball, over squishy plastic he never seemed to want to gnaw on it after walks even when left with it though the squeeker did eventually pop out)
